There’s only one way to describe this part of Tokyo-busy! Work or play, this part of town goes all day and well into the night.
First, avoid getting lost in Shinjuku Station. It sees over three and a half million visitors each day, making it the busiest train station in the world! This part of the city is a hub of transportation in Tokyo, and you ca get almost anywhere from here. Exit on the Kabukicho side for the exciting Robot Restaurant, the kid-friendly Samurai Museum, or to walk down Godzilla Road. Be sure to bring your camera at night–the Godzilla head on top of the Gracery hotel roars and breathes smoke on the hour! Visit the famous Golden Gai and get a stool at one of the micro-restaurants and pubs that line the area for a beer or some yakkitori. Whatever your business in Tokyo, Shinjuku is the place to play afterwards!
